Senior Director of Program Development
The Senior Director of Program Development is responsible for the innovation and implementation of all programming, supporting the creation of programs in the areas of Aquatics, Youth Development and Sports.
Facilities Team Member
The Facilities Team Member at the Bloomington-Normal YMCA is responsible for the overall cleanliness of the facility and the completion of planned cleaning projects. Under the supervision of the Director of Maintenance, the Facilities Team Member responds to member concerns in a professional and courteous manner and assists the Director of Maintenance in the further development of the custodial department.
Wellness Attendants at the Bloomington-Normal YMCA are responsible for cultivating an environment of support and care on our Dobski Wellness Center floor and ensuring member safety as they use our equipment.
The Aquatics Coordinator is responsible for assisting in program operation, program development and growth, participant satisfaction, member and staff retention and safety, staff supervision, onboarding, training and coaching within the Aquatics Department.
Membership Experience Team Member
The Membership Experience Team Member position is responsible for providing welcoming and knowledgeable service to our members, program participants, volunteers, and YMCA staff.
Youth Development Team Member: Preschool-age Programming
Youth Development Team Members will supervise and implement existing Preschool-age Programs in accordance with the goals and policies of the Bloomington-Normal YMCA, facilitating age-appropriate, purposeful and engaging activities in order to help the development of program participants.
Piano Instructors will teach piano lessons as part of our Youth Development team. They are responsible for ensuring all lessons are conducted in a safe, enjoyable and positive environment that promotes youth development and engagement.
Camp Supervisors will be responsible for overall Summer Camp Site operations, including tone-setting, communication, behavior management, scheduling, quality of activities, and parent communication.
Camp Counselors are the primary caregivers for camp attendees. Camp Counselors are responsible for planning, teaching, coordinating, and carrying out daily activities related to weekly themes that fulfill the mission of the Bloomington-Normal YMCA.
WAVES Swim Team Assistant Coach
The Assistant Coach of the WAVES Swim Team at the Bloomington-Normal YMCA serves others by intentionally welcoming, connecting, and supporting them as they grow in their journey of healthy living.
Group Fitness Instructor
Under the supervision of the Director of Wellness, this position is responsible for leading and instructing group fitness classes in a safe, enjoyable, and positive environment for participants of all fitness levels. Silver Sneakers/Active Aging instructors are encouraged to apply!
Youth Basketball Referee
The role of a Referee is to officiate basketball games to ensure the safety and fairness of all children, coaches, and fans at YMCA basketball games.
Aquatics Team Member
Under the supervision of the Director of Aquatics, Lifeguard and Swim Instructors will be responsible for ensuring the safety of all aquatic participants in and around the pool area and maintaining a safe pool environment in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures.
The Internship Program at the Bloomington-Normal YMCA gives interns an opportunity for a well-rounded experience in non-profit administration and operations. Internships will work to complete at least one major project during their time at the Y, and will be encouraged to take part in weekly leadership and operations meetings.
