The Bloomington-Normal YMCA will provide an opportunity for NCHS students to become involved in the mock legislative and judicial program for all freshman through seniors, based on the three-branch democratic system. Students will meet throughout the year with their advisor and program volunteers at NCHS as a delegation, researching bills, learning about process, and exploring areas of interest.
In addition to regular delegation meetings, students attend pre-legislative session trainings in November and December (4 hour events), and Assembly in March in Springfield, IL.
Delegation will meet every other Tuesday afternoon beginning September 24th after school at NCHS. There is a special FIRST delegation meeting on Monday, September 9th.
Parent/Student Informational Meeting will be Thursday, September 5 at 6pm at NCHS.
