BUILD A BETTER US

As we look to the future, we know that our growing community needs partnerships that will create strong networks of support for children, families and seniors. That includes more opportunities for families to bond and connect, especially families in McLean County. We will do this through flexible and accessible gathering spaces and safe, positive environments for people of all ages.

Together with our partners and the generous support of people like you, we will nurture the children and teens of McLean County, encourage people of all ages to live healthier, and foster a sense of social responsibility among all who live and work in the Bloomington-Normal area.

A COLLABORATIVE PARTNERSHIP

Our vision is simple: to strengthen the foundations of our community by bringing three strong organizations together to serve all - Easterseals of Central Illinois, OSF Healthcare St. Joseph Medical Center and the Bloomington-Normal YMCA. The leadership of the YMCA and Easterseals together with OSF Healthcare St. Joseph Medical Center are determined to improve the physical, spiritual and emotional health of our residents young and old, from across all our neighborhoods.

This partnership will create a community center that will unite all, regardless of age, abilities, limitations, faith, ethnicity or financial status. After decades of service, the YMCA and Easterseals have united to build a $16 million facility on a parcel of land provided by OSF Healthcare St. Joseph Medical Center. Together, we can serve more kids, more families and more seniors on their journey for better health and a better life.

WHY THE Y?

When people think about the Y, they often think of the building. A Y is so much more than that. The Y is a multi-generational community built on programs, collaborations, relationships and values. This community works together to help people live healthier, nurture young people, and promote a strong sense of social responsibility.
