Home School Physical Education


The YMCA uses the Family Time Fitness curriculum specifically designed for home school families. The curriculum incorporates a fun and flexible activity schedule while providing opportunities to accomplish the program goals and outcomes. Our home school P.E. program is designed to provide an opportunity for holistic development of your child’s spiritual, mental and physical abilities in a caring and supportive environment. Swim lesson curriculum will include stroke development, water safety & lifesaving skills.


  • Child demonstrates competency in motor skills and movement patterns needed to perform a variety of physical activities.
  • Child demonstrates understanding of movement, concepts, principles, strategies, and tactics as they apply to learning and performance of activities.
  • Child participates regularly in physical activities.
  • Child exhibits responsible personal and social behavior that respects self and others.
  • Child values physical activity for health, enjoyment, challenge, self expression, and/or social interaction.


The program is offered in two different semesters throughout the year, Fall and Spring. The program meets every Friday from 2:10 pm-3:50 pm.

Fall 2017 Semester: Fridays, September 15, 2017 - Friday, November 10, 2017

Ages 4-8: Pool 2:10-2:50, Gym 3:10-3:50
Ages 9-18: Gym 2:10-2:50, Pool 3:10-3:50


Open registration:  July 17, 2017 - September 8, 2017

Individual Registration Fee: Members: $35/child; Non-Members: $75/child.  

Family Registration Fee: Members $95/ Non-Members $195.  

All registration fees increase $10 on September 9, 2017.
